Chapter 66 The Universe in Hand

hs ago. Yun Qianyue realized how cute Yun Muhuan was back then, yet she had hated him at the time. The next few hours passed in a blink of an eye and before anyone knew it, night had fallen.Yun Muhuan...Chapter 66 The乾坤in Hand

The layout of the Dragon's Pool and Tiger Den Formation, which was initially treated seriously, now seemed like a piece of waste paper to him in his eyes, something he did not care about.

Yun Qianyue looked at Rong Jing raising an eyebrow and asked softly, "Have you found a solution"

"Mm!" Rong Jing nodded with a leisurely demeanor.

"Tell me what you have figured out!" Yun Qianyue was somewhat enlightened but also confused by his previous words. It was vague and elusive, missing the essence of it all.

Rong Jing did not answer her question; instead, he reached out to hold Yun Qianyue in his arms again with his chin resting on her shoulder. He said gently, "I'm tired."

He was playing hard to get! Yun Qianyue looked at him mockingly but was relieved that there must be a way if Rong Jing had found it. She nodded and said, "It is late already; you've been here since morning without rest so go ahead and take your rest."

"Mm!" Rong Jing responded softly.

"Hey! What's going on" Feng Jin was not happy! He had waited here for a long time, and he could not leave empty-handed like this.

"It turns out that the Feng Clan Master is really not clever," Rong Jing glanced at Feng Jin sideways.

Feng Jin was furious; his sitting body suddenly stood up. "If you don't want to say it, forget it! From now on, I won't be ordered around by you!" Saying this, he walked towards the door.

"Feng Jin, let me show you something and then you'll understand," Yun Qianyue called out Feng Jin.

Feng Jin stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Yun Qianyue.

Yun Qianyue opened her palm; wisps of mist-like clouds emerged from it. In the blink of an eye, these wisps formed a petal-shaped cloud. Then she gently clenched her hand, causing her face to transform into that of Li Yun in a split second.

Feng Jin's eyes widened abruptly.

"This is what I call spiritual technique!" Yun Qianyue said as she looked at him.

"You...you..." Feng Jin pointed at Yun Qianyue, astonished.

"Scared" Yun Qianyue laughed while looking at him. She felt that watching someone be shocked in front of her was a rather enjoyable experience except for the day she herself had been stunned.

"You...her..." Feng Jin looked at Rong Jing.

Rong Jing's gaze remained calm, revealing no thoughts but neither did he stop Yun Qianyue from doing what she wanted to do.

Yun Qianyue similarly stopped her demonstration and quickly withdrew the spiritual energy, restoring her appearance. She explained to Feng Jin, who was staring at them in shock: "This is an illusion technique; it's about drawing out one’s essence and shaping it into a mask according to your imagination, covering your face. It looks real but it isn't."

"This...is too...amazing!" Feng Jin calmed down and struggled to utter these words.

"Look at this layout of the Dragon's Pool and Tiger Den Formation; every path is a dead end, no way out. This is what we see with our eyes. But seeing isn't always believing. Just like how I used spiritual energy to cover my face," Yun Qianyue pointed at the formation diagram that Rong Jing had tossed aside on the table, covering the four corners of it and leaving only the center exposed. She raised an eyebrow as she asked: "What can you see now"

Feng Jin turned back to look at the position Yun Qianyue revealed; he said in puzzlement, "It's still a death formation."

"How about this then!" Yun Qianyue withdrew her hands and covered the center instead of the corners.

Feng Jin was already smart enough to understand immediately: "The formation isn't complete without its center."

"That's right, it is incomplete," Yun Qianyue nodded with a smile. "Everyone who sees this Dragon's Pool and Tiger Den Formation gets misled by their eyes into thinking there are no openings, but in reality, they exist. That position at the center is actually the life gate. But just like my face earlier, it’s covered up by something illusory so nobody can see it."

Feng Jin now fully understood and looked at Rong Jing; even though Rong Jing remained silent, Feng Jin sighed: "But how many people in this world would cover parts of the formation layout as you did And among those who enter the formation, how many could clear through the fog to distinguish between life and death"

"Yes! Almost none!" Yun Qianyue replied with a smile. "But just almost. Like my father; he understood this long ago."

"The Cloud Prince" Feng Jin raised an eyebrow in question, seeing Yun Qianyue nodding he continued doubtfully: "I know about the event that happened on the day of Your Highness's eldest son’s marriage a few days ago. So doesn't it mean that the Cloud Prince isn’t your...your own twin brother... who returned"

"Hmm!" Yun Qianyue nodded.

Although Feng Jin had guessed the situation, he didn't dwell on it. He changed the subject and asked Yun Qianyue, "When I arrived here, I heard that Nan Lingrui was traveling leisurely and would probably arrive around midnight. What are you going to do"

"Traveling leisurely He's really in a good mood!" Yun Qianyue said disdainfully.

"I fear there will be more than just the Dragon Gorge Tiger Den Formation tomorrow," Rong Jing said lazily. "Let's first see what Prince Ying can do! After all, he has learned formation techniques from the Southern Liang Imperial Tutor for so many years; they must have some use."

Yun Qianyue raised her eyebrows, "Are you saying to sit back and do nothing"

"Hmm!" Rong Jing nodded.

"What if something happens to him" Yun Qianyue thought that Nan Lingrui had always been a troublemaker since childhood. He was neither good at martial arts nor formation techniques. As a crown prince, he wasn't competent either; she didn't know what he excelled in. Yet such a person still enjoyed the favor of the Southern Liang King and was beloved by his people. It seemed somewhat unjust.

"If he's really just grass, do you think the Southern Liang King would give up his own son to bring him here" Rong Jing raised an eyebrow and then said to Feng Jin, "What you need to do is wait until Nan Lingrui arrives at midnight and take him back to your family. Ensure his safety before he leaves Peach Blossom Grove."

"And what about you" Feng Jin looked at Rong Jing.

"Do your part well, and I'll handle mine," said Rong Jing with a wave of his hand.

"Before leaving, I want to eat the ice cream you mentioned!" Feng Jin looked at Yun Qianyue, which was like making demands.

"Alright!" Yun Qianyue nodded and smiled. It seemed that even though he had grown up, Feng Jin still behaved like a child!

Feng Jin left the courtyard only after Yun Qianyue agreed to his request.

Seeing him go, Yun Qianyue turned her head and said to Rong Jing, "Feng Jin used to manage my Wind Pavilion. Now that he has returned home and taken over as head of the Feng family, Night Tianyi already knows about our relationship. If Nan Lingrui comes here and stays at the Feng family, it will connect the Southern Liang Kingdom with the Feng family. Is this not a problem"

"Why is that a problem" Rong Jing raised his eyebrows. "You sent Red Pavilion to escort Nan Lingrui back to Southern Liang safely; do you think Night Tianyi doesn’t know about the connection between Red Pavilion and Nan Lingrui Although he may not yet know that behind Red Pavilion is you, don't you have someone called Feng Lu under your command who comes from the Feng family This way, Red Pavilion has a tie with the Feng family, and Nan Lingrui is connected to Red Pavilion. So isn’t it reasonable for Nan Lingrui to stay at the Feng family"

"Indeed!" Yun Qianyue nodded. "I almost forgot about this."

“Or put another way, do you think Night Tianyi truly believes that using a thousand hidden guards to intercept you when you were severely injured would allow him to ignore the matter of the Lan family” Rong Jing’s tone turned slightly solemn. “Perhaps he knows more than you imagine.”

Yun Qianyue fell silent. Night Tianyi was shrewd; how much did he know She wasn't sure.

"Back to the courtyard for rest!" Rong Jing stopped talking and didn’t elaborate further, pulling Yun Qianyue up as he stood.

Yun Qianyue stuffed the blueprint of the Dragon Gorge Tiger Den Formation into his hand and followed him.

Rong Jing turned to look at her. "It's just a piece of scrap paper; why do you still need it"

"Even if it is scrap paper, my grandfather gave it to me as a gift. How can I throw it away" Yun Qianyue looked at him.

Rong Jing smiled slightly in agreement with her words.

The two of them returned to the inner courtyard and entered their room. Rong Jing let go of Yun Qianyue’s hand, went behind a screen for his bath, while she was too energetic to be sleepy, so she lazily curled up on a soft sofa, listening to the water from behind the screen. After a moment, she asked, "Do you need me to help wash"

The sound of water paused but then resumed; Rong Jing didn’t reply.

Yun Qianyue’s playful mood was put on hold as she pouted and got up to lie down on the bed, staring at the ceiling while counting.

Awhile later, Rong Jing emerged from behind the screen, wearing a black soft robe like his daytime attire. He walked over to the bed, pulled back Yun Qianyue’s quilt, lay down beside her.

Seeing him lie down and close his eyes as if he were really going to sleep, Yun Qianyue thought that although she and Rong Jing had found a way to break through the Dragon Gorge Tiger Den Formation, since Night Tianyi was at the Lan family now, who knew what else would happen tomorrow. It was best for them to conserve their energy; so she closed her eyes too.

After quite some time, Yun Qianyue still wasn’t sleepy and softly called out, "Rong Jing!"

"Hmm!" Rong Jing answered.

"Are you asleep" Yun Qianyue asked.

"How can I talk to you if I'm asleep" Rong Jing reached out and wrapped his arm around her slim waist, with a gentle tone, "Can't sleep"

“Mm-hmm!” Yun Qianyue nodded.

“What do you want to do” Rong Jing turned around, facing her. His lips brushed over her face softly and lingered.

Yun Qianyue blushed, her heart fluttering. She whispered, "Mm-hmm!"

Rong Jing suddenly sat up and leaned on top of Yun Qianyue, his eyes shining like stars in the night sky as he looked at her intently, "Then let's do something!" With that, he lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers.

Yun Qianyue trembled, feeling as if she were burning. But before her brain could process it, she blocked her face with her hands.

"Hm" Rong Jing's lips met her hand, raising an eyebrow at her.

"What I meant by doing something is going to the Lan family!" Yun Qianyue said in a flustered tone.

Rong Jing's face changed instantly. Yun Qianyue thought she could hear him grinding his teeth. She silently cursed him for leaving her when she wanted him earlier, twice. Now it was time to turn the tables and teach him a lesson.

Seeming to read Yun Qianyue’s mind, Rong Jing suddenly reached out and removed her hands. He lowered his head again, kissing her lips hard, this kiss unlike before, carrying an undercurrent of punishment.

"Hey..." Yun Qianyue wanted to say something but swallowed it back down.

The ribbons were pulled apart, the silk sliding off her body. The cool touch of his hand sent shivers through her. Rong Jing seemed pleased by this warmth and softness as well as her reactions, making the kiss more intimate. After a while, when she was so limp that he thought another touch would make her drip with moisture, he finally released her, looking down at her.

"You... You..." Yun Qianyue panted for breath, her face flushed and eyes glistening as if wanting to complain but unable to form words. She could only continue panting.

Rong Jing suddenly covered her eyes with his hand, voice low and seductive, "Still want to play"

Yun Qianyue shook her head, seemingly without the energy to do so. How was she supposed to keep playing when she had clearly lost

"Then go to sleep!" Rong Jing rolled off of her and pulled her into his embrace, closing his eyes.

Yun Qianyue's panting filled the room while the person beside her seemed to be deliberately suppressing any sound or emotion.

A short time later, Yun Qianyue had calmed down. She angrily tapped Rong Jing, "I said I wanted to go to the Lan family! Did you hear me"

"Heard," Rong Jing’s arm around her waist did not loosen.

“If you heard, then let me go,” Yun Qianyue pushed him away with her hand.

“I heard but didn’t say I’d let you go!” Rong Jing looked at the displeased little face still tinged red from a previous kiss. He felt his emotions flare up again but fought to suppress them, pulling over the quilt and covering her face, "Sleep!"

"Rong Jing, are you going to suffocate me" Yun Qianyue struggled under the covers.

“If I could suffocate you that would be best. It’ll save me from feeling bad,” Rong Jing’s voice was low and heavy with a hint of depression.

Although buried under the quilts, Yun Qianyue heard him clearly and immediately stopped struggling, quietly coming to her senses.

A long while later, Rong Jing pulled back the covers, freeing Yun Qianyue. He gently patted her, saying softly, "Sleep now! Since Night Tianyi is in control of the Lan family, visiting Lan Yi would be pointless. You might as well rest up and wait for tomorrow to see how your dear brother plans to apologize. This sort of rare spectacle doesn't come around often."

"Mm-hmm!" Yun Qianyue was suddenly sleepy after all this commotion even though she wasn't before, nodding obediently.

The two no longer spoke and fell asleep in each other's arms.

In the middle of the night, Yun Qianyue woke up to cat calls outside her window. One, two, three meows. She opened her eyes to look out but didn't hear anything else. Seeing Rong Jing still sleeping beside her, she closed her eyes again.

"Meow, Meow, Meow!" Three more cat calls came from the night sky outside.

When Yun Qianyue opened her eyes again, she saw Rong Jing also open his eyes and look out of the window, lazily saying, "Is the Crown Prince of Nan Liang a fake prince like a cat"

"Meow, meow, meow!" Three more sounds of a cat.

Yun Qianyue smiled. This cat really did an excellent job mimicking the sound. She pushed Rong Jing and sat up, calling out to whoever was outside, "Why don't you come in yet Do you actually want me to throw you out"

The moment Yun Qianyue finished speaking, the door opened from the outside, and a shadow walked in. Upon entering, he glanced at the delicate sheer curtains of the canopy bed and suddenly turned away, covering his face as he said, "Oh my! It's not proper to see such things! Oh no!"

Who else could this person be but Nan Lingrui

Yun Qianyue picked up a pillow and threw it at him. "I’ll make you look away if it’s improper!"

Nan Lingrui easily dodged, catching the pillow instead, cradling it as he turned around and walked over to the daybed, where he lay down with it under his head in a miserable tone, "Oh, I’m so tired from my long journey! Little girl, bring me some tea."

Yun Qianyue tied up her robe’s sash, pushed back the covers and got out of bed. She walked to the table, lit a candle, poured a cup of tea and brought it to Nan Lingrui, using the light from the candle to look at him—his face was radiant with happiness. She raised an eyebrow, "I heard you traveled here while sightseeing along the way"

"Yes!" Nan Lingrui took the water, tilted his head back and drank it in one go, finishing off by placing the empty cup back into Yun Qianyue’s hand. His eyes sparkled brightly as he told her excitedly, "Little girl, my journey was really interesting! Shall I tell you"

"Sure, talk to me," Yun Qianyue nodded with a smile.

"Ten days ago, I left Nan Liang…" Nan Lingrui began his story as if he wanted to chat all night long.

"You left Nan Liang ten days ago But you only arrived just now" Yun Qianyue interrupted him. The distance from Nan Liang to this Peach Blossom Forest was approximately the same as that of Tian Sheng, and it usually took three days to get there. Yet he had taken ten days. What did he do along the way

"Of course! How else could I showcase my style" Nan Lingrui proudly raised his head.

"Forget it then. Just tell me what was the most meaningful thing you did," Yun Qianyue waved her hand dismissively.

"The most significant event Let me think… Ah, naturally, it’s adopting a celestial beauty as my maid." Nan Lingrui said.

"Hm Didn’t you vow to marry only Lan Yi this lifetime" Yun Qianyue looked at him.

"I won’t marry anyone else! But hiring a maid isn't related to marriage, right" Nan Lingrui innocently gazed at Yun Qianyue.

Yun Qianyue paused for a moment. "What kind of celestial beauty"

"A beautiful maiden named Celestial Beauty." Nan Lingrui said.

"Where is she now" Yun Qianyue asked.

"She’s at the Feng family!" Nan Lingrui answered promptly.

Yun Qianyue sighed inwardly. "Aren’t you afraid that Lan Yi will be furious and you won't return" She looked at him, thinking he had changed his libertine ways. It turned out she was mistaken! He came to apologize with a beauty resembling a celestial being. One could only imagine the commotion tomorrow would bring. She smiled faintly.

"What’s there to be afraid of That little beauty won’t let me die," Nan Lingrui laughed brightly and suddenly hugged Yun Qianyue, saying softly in her ear, "Dear sister, I missed you so much while back at Nan Liang. Day and night, all day long, I thought about you…"

Before he could finish speaking, Yun Qianyue was pulled out of his embrace, only to find herself back on the bed in a flash. She had already grown accustomed to this, so she didn't even scream.

"Rong Jing, no wait… I should say Chu Family Head, your abilities are impressive! When did you manage to marry my little sister without going through proper marriage arrangements Why wasn’t the Crown Prince of Nan Liang informed" Nan Lingrui glanced at Rong Jing with a cold tone. "Who gave their consent for you to take her as your wife"

Yun Qianyue thought about saying this same thing to Feng Jin! These two!

"Your little sister I don’t know that the Crown Prince of Nan Liang has a younger sister other than his princesses," Rong Jing held Yun Qianyue in his arms and raised an elegant eyebrow when he heard what Nan Lingrui said.

Nan Lingrui choked slightly, saying icily, "Do you want to do the blood test"

Rong Jing ignored him and asked Yun Qianyue gently, "Tell him who gave their consent."

Yun Qianyue compared her brother and Nan Lingrui and decided that having a long-term source of meals was more reassuring. She patted Nan Lingrui’s chest seriously, saying, "I agreed!

Nan Lingrui's face darkened as he saw Rong Jing's lips curl up into a smile. Suddenly, filled with hatred, he slammed his fist onto the soft couch and said resentfully, "Women are hard to control once they grow up!"

"It’s good that Prince Ying has realized this!" Rong Jing took advantage of someone else's misfortune.

Nan Lingrui gave him a sidelong glance and felt frustrated for a moment. But then he suddenly laughed and said to Yun Qianyue, "Little girl, the Chu family is very wealthy! I think your decision was right; you should first become his wife, spend all of his money, and then kick him out. Ha ha ha, that sounds so satisfying!"

The more he talked, the happier he became, until he ended up laughing loudly for himself.

Yun Qianyue was speechless; this is her brother Is it really her brother They say a son resembles his father. Did Nan Lingrui inherit something

Rong Jing seemed to be somewhat speechless as well, and he glanced at Nan Lingrui leisurely before slowly saying, "I originally planned on helping you out, but seeing Prince Ying's confident attitude now, it seems that I don’t have to! We just need to sit back and watch the show. Let’s see how Prince Ying will apologize bravely and win his love."

Nan Lingrui's laughter abruptly stopped.

"We need rest; Prince Ying, you can leave now! No need to send you off!" Rong Jing waved his hand, sending a gust of wind towards Nan Lingrui.

Nan Lingrui knew he couldn’t resist Rong Jing’s palm energy and suddenly clung tightly onto the soft couch. He shouted loudly, "Little girl, I’m your brother; are you just going to let him bully me like this"

Yun Qianyue laughed as she shook her head; he was truly a living treasure. She reached out to stop Rong Jing’s hand and said impatiently to Nan Lingrui, "Let's talk seriously! What ideas do you have If you don't have any, then we really won’t bother with you anymore!"

"I don’t have any." Nan Lingrui released his grip on the soft couch and lazily lay back down. He shook his head decisively.

“Then what did you think about since you announced your betrothal to Chu Mu”, Yun Qianyue asked him.

"Isn’t there you You’ve already thought of everything for me; why should I worry" Nan Lingrui looked at Yun Qianyue and sighed, "Ah, having a good little sister is truly wonderful!"

Yun Qianyue was speechless. She released Rong Jing’s hand, resentfully not wanting to see him anymore. “You kick him out! I won’t stop you!” What kind of brother is this!

Rong Jing didn't say anything and sent another gust of wind towards Nan Lingrui who flew straight out the door.

Yun Qianyue carefully listened to where Nan Lingrui landed, but after a long while, she couldn’t hear any sound. She turned her eyes back to Rong Jing who had retracted his hand and was now holding her in his arms as he lay down again, saying concisely, "Sleep!"

Yun Qianyue yawned; she really was worrying unnecessarily. The main player wasn’t even anxious, so why should she be So she naturally continued to sleep.

The next day before dawn, Yun Qianyue woke up and turned her head to look at Rong Jing. She saw that he had already woken up early, dressed properly, and was sitting at the table writing something down. Glancing at his desk, she noticed a pile of black notebooks stacked neatly, approximately dozens of them. Blinking, she lay on the bed watching him.

They say a man’s charm is inseparable from one thing, which is work.

Sitting there relaxed and casual, he was writing something down indifferently; no sharpness or sternness could be seen, but she saw the thousand-year-old sword in his hand, its blade gleaming. It seemed like everything was within his grasp, making a strange feeling rise within her heart.

It seems that he was born to be someone special!

"Awake" Rong Jing seemed to sense Yun Qianyue’s gaze and looked at her, but continued writing without pause.

"Mm!" Yun Qianyue replied lazily.

"Since you're awake, get up then," said Rong Jing as he turned his eyes away from her. After finishing the annotations on the book in his hand, he closed it and picked up another one.

Yun Qianyue nodded and got out of bed without disturbing him, tidying herself up and tying her hair back. After she was done, seeing that Rong Jing still had work to do, she pushed the door open. A cool morning breeze with a hint of floral scent came in, instantly dispelling her drowsiness and refreshing her spirit.

"Madam is awake" Nuan Xiang walked over and glanced inside, seeing Rong Jing sitting at his desk. She smiled and asked, "Yes, Auntie Xiang has come early!" Yun Qianyue nodded with a smile.

"Today all ten great families will be going to the Lan family, scheduled for the third watch of the morning hours. It's still very early," Nuan Xiang said as she smiled and observed Yun Qianyue’s face without her veil. Lowering her voice, she continued, "I see; Miss Shallow Moon looks like this. She does indeed resemble the Red Pavilion Master from back then."

"Yes, they say I look like my mother," Yun Qianyue smiled.

"Yesterday when we heard you came and that you are our family’s master's wife, all ten great families went into an uproar. It was even more sensational than the news of Master Lan and Prince Ying." Nuan Xiang continued to smile as she said, "Especially yesterday when it was rumored that Young Lord Cang lost to you with no chance to counterattack, this matter quickly spread. Before you even made a public appearance, some people from the ten great families were already on high alert! The ten great families have been dormant for so many years; now they are finally stirring up again!

"Is that so" Yun Qianyue didn't know what to say and only smiled at Nuanniang.

"Of course!" Nuanniang nodded, about to say something more when Rong Jing's voice came from inside the room: "Aunt Nuan, is Grandpa going to the Lan Family today"

"Master, Old Master said no one should disturb him. He's locked himself in his room making wine now! It seems he won't be going," Nuanniang replied.

"Hmm, for Grandpa, nothing is more important than brewing wine." Rong Jing seemed to smile faintly and instructed: "Serve breakfast then! After that, I'll take Lady Qianyue to the Lan Family."

"Yes!" Nuanniang quickly responded and went down.

Yun Qianyue turned back and saw Rong Jing already up from his desk. Clearly, he had finished whatever business needed handling and walked over to wash at the basin of clear water. She clearly saw a small 'Ink' written on one corner of a black notebook, obviously representing the Ink Pavilion.

Nuanniang soon brought breakfast. After Rong Jing groomed himself, he sat across from Yun Qianyue and ate with her.

After the meal, Rong Jing put on his silver mask while Yun Qianyue donned a veil; both of them left their room.

Hua Sheng, Huala, Ling Lian, Yi Xue, Feng Yan, Feng Lu, and Cang Lan had already gotten ready. After resting for the night, they looked refreshed when they saw Rong Jing and Yun Qianyue leave and saluted in unison.

"Let's go! I'll introduce you to your family members and see how many of them you can recognize." Yun Qianyue smiled.

The seven people responded, their faces calm but their eyes revealing a hint of excitement.

Rong Jing glanced at the seven without speaking. He took Yun Qianyue's hand and left the courtyard gate.

At the door, several old men were waiting along with some young men and women. The men weren't tied up while the women didn’t wear their hair up; clearly they were unmarried. Upon seeing Rong Jing and Yun Qianyue leaving, they immediately saluted respectfully and called out in unison: "Master! Lady!"

This time, the shout of 'Lady' was much more natural and calm compared to yesterday's surprise, indicating that after a day and night, even great shocks had been smoothed over.

"No need for formalities," Rong Jing gently waved his sleeves.

The few people stood up straight. The old men noticed Yun Qianyue still wearing her veil and thought she was as mysterious as their master. Several young men and women curiously eyed Yun Qianyue, almost ready to lift the veil off her face.

"Let's go," Rong Jing seemed not to have seen them, pulling Yun Qianyue by the hand toward the Lan Family.

His voice was low and cool. Neither high nor low, it lacked any harshness yet made those few young men and women retract their gazes from Yun Qianyue, following behind them properly without further gawking.

The ten great families were neighbors, not too far apart based on the mountain range relationship. Especially since the Chu Family was only separated by the Hua Family from the Lan Family. The group walked simply and efficiently.

As they passed by the Hua Family entrance, they saw a large crowd coming out of it. Leading them was an old man in his fifties with several men and women following him.

"Chu Brother!" A young lady from the Hua Family happily called as she noticed Rong Jing.

Yun Qianyue turned her head to see that the layout of both the Hua and Chu Families' courtyards was similar, well-arranged. It wasn't surprising for families with hundreds of years of history; even now after a hundred years of seclusion, their noble demeanor hadn’t diminished. Without looking at people, one could be impressed by the scenery in the courtyard.

"Master Hua!" Rong Jing seemed not to have heard her and nodded slightly toward the elderly man.

"Master Chu, it's a rare occasion to see you," Master Hua appeared surprised at seeing Rong Jing outside his home, nodding in response as he looked at Rong Jing’s silver mask.

"Zigu rarely returns home. The peach forest hasn’t changed much, and uncles are still healthy," Rong Jing said calmly.

"Ah, too old for that now." Master Hua shook his head and glanced at Yun Qianyue's face covered by a veil: "Is this the Lady of Chu Family The Young Mistress of Red Pavilion"

"That’s right!" Rong Jing nodded.

"It has been over twenty years since the old mistress wielded her sword against the ten great families," Master Hua seemed to reminisce. He looked at Yun Qianyue with curiosity and asked, "The elegance of the Red Pavilion master was praised by everyone in the ten great families back then. For the young lady to come to the peach forest again is indeed fortunate. But why does the young mistress conceal her appearance"

"Since my husband doesn't see my beauty, I naturally follow his lead," Yun Qianyue smiled faintly through her veil and continued: "Master Hua, it’s a pleasure! Flower Fall, come over and greet Master Hua!"
